Injuries ruin Man City’s UCL clash against Madrid

Kyle Walker, Josko Gvardiol, and Nathan Ake were all absent from Manchester City training on Monday morning, in advance of Tuesday’s Champions League match against Real Madrid.

According to the BBC, all three players had injury concerns prior to the match in Spain.

Both Ake and Walker entered the Madrid match with doubts about specific concerns that arose during the international break.

Gvadiol joined them on the sidelines following his substitution last weekend during City’s 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace.

The players’ increased workload in their quest for a second Treble championship this season has severely depleted City’s squad.
