Road users express worry about kidnappers on Enugu-Abakiliki Express Way

The escalating frequency of abductions of unsuspecting drivers along the Idodo section of the Enugu-Abakaliki Motorway is causing increasing concern and anxiety.

Drivers traveling on the highway have urged the governments of Ebonyi and Enugu States to enhance the level of security on the consistently busy road.

According to a source, a staff member of Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital in Abakaliki was recently abducted, and his family and friends managed to amass N4 million as ransom for his release.

Abductors are currently detaining a resident of No. 10 Bende Street, Kpirikpiri, Abakaliki, the state capital.

The Enugu State Governor and security authorities should collaborate to prevent the regrettable occurrence on that road.

The motorists expressed their belief that Mbah, like former Enugu Governor Lfeanyi Ugwuanyi, can accomplish a similar feat along Nsukka Opi Road.
