It took two rounds! Joshua sent Ngannou home with a second-round knockout.

 

Anthony Joshua defeated Francis Ngannou in just two rounds during their highly anticipated heavyweight bout in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After putting on an outstanding performance in his debut against Tyson Fury, former UFC champion Ngannou was competing in just his second boxing battle. But Joshua’s strength proved to be too much, as the Nigerian born British boxer once again demonstrated his title credentials.

 

 

In the first round, Joshua took down a stunned Ngannou with a strong right hand. In the second, he knocked down the former UFC heavyweight champion twice, leaving Ngannou unconscious.

 

Joshua has been preparing for another championship opportunity ever since he lost against Oleksandr Usyk twice in a row. He has defeated Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin, and Jermaine Franklin after losing the second fight via split decision.

 

After his performance in his professional boxing debut, a victory over Ngannou genuinely means a lot. In his debut venture into the sweet science, the former UFC heavyweight champion defeated Tyson Fury via split decision, shocking the entire world.
