Ganduje ceases to be the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress from this day on.

Nigeria’s ruling party, the Tofa Local Government Area, Kano State, he blamed the National Chairman for an alleged case of bribery. The Kano State Government has taken legal action against Ganduje, accusing him of accepting bribes of $413,000 and N1.38 billion on different occasions.

Dr. Salihu Lukman of the party that seconded the suspension said that his (Ganduje’s) action is not in tandem with the president’s vision. The suspension will, however, take effect on April 15, 2024. He said, “Under your watch, you are unable to regulate the excessive conduct of some leaders. Consequently, a leadership crisis is snowballing in many states, with hardly any visible indication of efforts from your leadership to intervene and resolve the issues.”

Additional entities that are mentioned in the charge sheet are Lesage General Enterprises, Lamash Properties Ltd., Jibrilla Muhammad, and Safari Textiles Ltd. Amidst accusations of mismanagement of public funds, political unrest, and disappearances that transpired under the administration of Ganduje, Governor Yusuf has recently formed two investigative committees.
