The Delusion of Religion in Sub-Saharan Africa

99% of Nigerians are religious, be it Christianity or Islam. I mean, religion supposedly makes people virtuous with high morals; however, 99% of Nigerians are corrupt and dishonest. Oxymoronic, right?

Throughout Black Africa, Christianity is the largest institution of mental gymnastics. I mean, the Christianity the Europeans brought to Africa left with them. I cherish some Christian fundamentals, but what is happening in Africa is different. After politicians on the continent, pastors and religious people are the next richest. Nigerian pastors have private jets, universities, and many other megaproperties. They are worshipped like gods. Black Africans would turn up for religious crusades more often than for academic endeavours that could improve their lives and careers.

Churches are packed and getting bigger like football stadiums, while schools are empty and collective community charities are virtually nonexistent. From Monday to Sunday, Black people attend church in some capacity. They walk on their filthy streets, which are not pedestrian-friendly and are littered with rubbish. Even their roads are not motor-friendly. I mean, what is the point of a road if it isn’t motor-friendly? African churches have become a place where the rich go to intimidate the poor. Donations in churches are announced for all to hear, like they were an Oscar award. The richer you are, the higher in the church you are. They even grant titles to members of the church based on their social status. The Christianity that the Europeans left us has long gone. What we praise in Africa is not Christianity, but the backwardness that forms the basics of our culture, which has failed miserably.

In Nigeria, rich people dress up to go to church. They then drive through their non-motor-friendly roads, splashing water left by the rain on poor children without clothes, since they have no drainage or sewage systems. They drive past all these poor people who genuinely need help, then get to the massive church building that was built by the sweat of the poor, who have no decent home or bed to sleep on. The pastor wears Louis Vuitton shoes, a Rolex watch, Gucci suits, and Chanel sunglasses – I mean, who wears sunglasses inside a church building where there is no sun? Well, they wear all this and preach to people who live on $2 a day, asking them to donate some of their $2 to make heaven. Then, that rich man who drove through all the poor people to get to the massive church, with the semi-educated pastor blabbing some incoherent nonsense from a book reprinted in China, using a microphone made in China, uttering words he can barely pronounce to people who can’t remember the last time they had steak or chicken. And finally, that rich man would go on stage and announce offerings of $1000s. The congregation of poor people who barely eat or have proper homes to sleep in would then jeer incongruously, typical of Black people, screaming with so much joy as if they were the richest and happiest people in the world.

Throughout their journey to the church building, people ignored those who deserved that help. Instead, they are piling more cash into the coffers of the fraudster who claims to be “a man of God”. In Nigeria and most Black African countries, “Man of God” is the new title for these fraudsters who call themselves pastors. In fact, Nigeria alone produces more “Men of God” than the rest of Africa produces engineers. There are more “men of god” than there are STEM field professionals. How can such a continent prosper? As I speak right now, the Nigerians, Black Africans, and even those who follow us on different platforms would be unsubscribing because I have touched on their untouchable religion and God.

Lekki is one of Lagos’ most affluent cities and is about the same size as New York City, with over five million inhabitants. However, even the slightest rainfall turns the city into the world’s largest swimming pool due to inadequate drainage and sewage systems. You’d think that people who live in the tropics, where it rains all the time, would have fixed this problem. But no! They don’t care!

Did you know that if there were an election in Nigeria today to choose between going to school and gaining an education or going to church and worshipping God, I kid you not, over 90% would vote to go to church with pride? I’ll take it one step further: They will even vote to abandon their parents and go to church. You need to see how political campaigns are conducted in Nigeria. You’d think you’d hear things: ‘I intend to do this and that.’ Instead, they’ll be preaching about God, the Bible, or the Quran. Nigerians and Black Africans are more impressed by how well you quote the Bible or the Quran than how well you manage the economy. How can people like this develop?

Everywhere they go and everything they do, they scream so loud and celebrate like they’ve invented the cure for foolishness. Have you ever wondered why Black Africans are always so happy? Me too! Norway has one of the highest GDPs per capita in the world, and every Norwegian is worth over $200,000, according to the country’s sovereign wealth fund. Yet, when you see Norwegians, you’d think they’re miserable. But Black Africans are always so boisterous and overexcited. Why?

During my time in Lagos, Douala, Libreville, Luanda, Accra, and many more African cities. I have been to them all. My best days were Sundays. Because I can easily drive around without encountering anyone, as they will all be in church, expressing themselves in a manner that resembles wild animals and speaking in incomprehensible tongues. Also, Fridays in Abuja and Dakar were a nightmare. These guys would literally block the streets and scream ‘Allah Akbar’, preventing the economy from functioning so that they can pray to their fictional character. I’m telling you, the Christian values that the Europeans brought to Africa have been replaced by African backwardness.

Why is God still very active in Africa but has gone to sleep in Japan, the UK, Germany, Taiwan, or Singapore? As we speak, God is performing excellent miracles in Africa through his men of God, raising people from the dead, curing the blind, and performing other impossible miracles. I kid you not, African pastors are raising the dead and curing blindness. You guys must think I’m joking! I mean, that’s what the men of God and their lackeys would like you to believe. You’d think that if these African men of God performed miracles, then Africa would be the perfect place for such blessings, because everywhere you look across the continent, some help is needed. Why aren’t these men of God going out and starting to fix up Africa through the power of their fictional character? Whilst they perform their selective miracles, Europeans, Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese are busy inventing tools and other medical feats and saving lives. If there were a god, they would strike all the men of God in Africa. If anyone deserves God’s intervention, it is the men of God in Nigeria and Africa. They are the worst of all humans. How do you fleece poor people of their already skint pockets? How do you feel living in gold while most people live in filth? The Black has no love for anything or anyone but itself. This is why Black Africans cannot rule and should not rule.

There are more churches in Nigeria than schools and hospitals combined. The same is true for Ghana, Cameroon, and many other African countries. Do you know what Nigeria’s number one organic export is? Petroleum products and gas are an endowment; they did nothing to earn them; they came naturally. Nigeria’s number one man-made export is the Nigerian version of Christianity. Nigerian pastors and men of God can do no wrong. If you want to rape girls and get away with it, just call yourself a man of God and claim you were washing out the evil spirit from them, and you are free to go. Welcome to the continent of incoherent people with incoherent practices.

The son of the Nigerian president recently donated 1,000,000 copies of the Bible. Imagine if he’d converted that into building just two schools? Which do you think would be more efficient? Every corner of Nigeria is a church. Some buildings have, like, seven churches. I get it that they believe in their God, fine! But why don’t they let others live in peace? They’ll install loudspeakers in public places and scream, play loud music, and tell you how everything is possible with the Lord Jesus Christ. If everything is possible, why are you the poorest people on Earth? And why do you not simply pray in silence and allow everyone else to live in peace? Imagine seven churches in a building, each with its loudspeaker, preaching from the same book under different names? You think nightclubs are loud? Imagine seven public nightclubs! I recommend that everyone visit Nigeria at least once in their lives, so they’ll appreciate their country more when they return home.
