Nigerian Army to release 200 young people accused of terrorism

 

 

The Nigerian Army and Maiduguri Maximum Security Prison freed almost 200 young suspects on Tuesday night after clearing them of any connections to Boko Haram, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

The soldiers apprehended the individuals at the height of the rebellion.

 

The Borno State Government is willing to welcome them.Giwa Barracks in Maiduguri, the state capital, will host the ceremony on Tuesday morning.

Zuwaira Gambo, the State Commissioner for Women Affairs, and Prof. Tar Umar, the Information and Internal Security counterpart, will officially accept the released inmates on behalf of the state government.
