Leave Bobrisky alone, Charlie Boy warns EFCC
Renowned musician and activist Charles Oputa, also known as Charly Boy, has criticized the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for apprehending and persistently detaining crossdresser Idris Okuneye, often referred to as Bobrisky.
CharlyBoy, in a social media post, urged the commission to prioritize more important matters and cease targeting Bobrisky since he is not the root cause of Nigeria’s problems.
Bobrisky was apprehended on April 3 and presented in court on April 5, charged with the offense of currency misuse.
Following his admission of guilt, the court decreed that he be detained in EFCC custody until April 9th, when the judgment will be rendered.
Nevertheless, the court postponed the date of the judgment in light of the Eid-Fitri vacation.
He asserted that their primary responsibility is to recover embezzled cash from corrupt politicians, rather than employing influencers to divert Nigerians’ attention.
