Elon Musk, the First and Only Human to Achieve a Net Worth of $300 Billion, is Currently $10 Billion Shy of That Milestone.
Former President Donald Trump’s victory in the recently concluded US election has boasted dollar and US stocks. Musk, one of his staunch supporters and donors, was one of the beneficiaries of that boast. His company, Tesla, gained 14.8%, giving him a gain of $26.5 billion.
Tesla is the dominant EV in the US, with a market share of 48.9%, which is likely to grow under his buddy Trump. Trump has promised to impose 100 – 200% on Chinese EVs, the world’s leader in the field, potentially leaving Tesla to enjoy the greatest economy and market in human history, the United States of America.
Tesla is not the only winner; everything bounced up at Trump’s win. The market, crypto, business, and world leaders outside the EU, UK, Canada, Japan, Australia, and South Korea have welcomed Trump’s return to the White House with open arms. The net worth of many billionaires increased at the announcement of Trump’s win.
Jeff Bezos, the owner of Amazon, saw his net worth increase from $7 billion to $223.5 billion, allowing him to maintain his position as the world’s second-wealthiest person, just behind Elon Musk.
Crypto magnates also experienced significant gains. According to Bloomberg, Brian Armstrong, co-founder and CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, saw his net worth rise by $2.6 billion to $11 billion. Changpeng Zhao, the founder of the Binance crypto exchange, added $12.1 billion to his fortune, bringing it to $52.7 billion following the election.
Trump has the potential to bring peace and common sense to the world, and even the markets seem to recognise this. In contrast, the Democrats’ sectarian political manoeuvres and geopolitical strategies have pushed the world to the brink of war. The last four years, particularly after Russia invaded Ukraine, highlighted a narrative from Biden’s White House that oversimplified global politics as “you are either with us or against us.” This has strengthened the unity among BRICS nations and brought China and Russia closer together than ever before.
While it’s uncertain whether Trump can restore sanity and unity, it’s worth noting that he is not known for his unifying capabilities. However, his time away from the White House may have provided him with valuable insights. As the world prepares for Trump’s return to the White House, there is hope for a future where peace and unity prevail over war and sectarianism.
