Arsenal makes Osimhen a prime target

Premier League giants Arsenal have received approval to sign Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen.

The Gunner’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League, partly due to their lack of an established goal scorer, prompted this decision.

Arsenal suffered a 3-2 defeat against German team Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals of Europe’s prestigious tournament. According to TeamTALK, the Arsenal board has now resolved to seek the services of the Napoli striker in order to address their issues with scoring goals.

The 25-year-old is highly coveted as a forward in European football and has gained significant fame in the previous year and a half in Serie A.

Rumors suggest that Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid have expressed interest in the Nigerian international. Mikel Arteta’s team, however, is currently considered the frontrunner to acquire him over the next summer.

Recent sources from TeamTALK indicate that Mauricio Pochettino’s team has made the decision to prioritise the pursuit of Jonathan David from Lille over Osimhen in the upcoming months.

The Canadian international has been exceptional once again in Ligue 1 this season, scoring 23 goals in 40 matches. Estimates place his value at £42.8 million. At the age of 24, the former Gent forward is now in great demand.

Chelsea’s interest, however, allows Arsenal to concentrate on reaching an agreement for Osimhen when the summer transfer market officially starts in August.

Arsenal has alternated between Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, and Eddie Nketiah on the offensive line this season, and together they have scored a total of 24 goals. Nevertheless, Arteta is once again considering more reinforcements, similar to what he did last summer with the significant acquisitions of Declan Rice and Havertz.

The Spaniard said, “We established the summer plans early in the season, taking into account factors such as player contracts and areas of the team that need improvement.”

We have established current plans; we anticipate Osimhen will soon make a decision about his future, and the Arsenal manager has recently sparked speculation about a potential transfer later this year.
