Influencers Guild wade into the Big Brother and Phyna dispute

The PCCSIGN, an association of content creators, skit-makers, and influencers, has sent a letter to Multichoice Nigeria, the organizers of Big Brother Naija, over the unpaid debt owed to one of its members, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, also known as Phyna, who emerged as the winner of Season 7 of the reality program.

PCCSIGN, in the letter, which was posted on its Instagram page on Monday, acknowledged that Phyna is still entitled to a portion of the prizes she received during the program two years ago.

The letter states that the Practitioners of Content Creating, Skit-making, and Influencers Guild (PCCSIGN) is writing on behalf of Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, also known as “Phyna,” who is a valued member of their guild.

The letter concerns the outstanding debts owed by Quidax Global (1BTC = $70,052.00), Seven-Up Bottling Company (Pepsi) (1 year supply of Pepsi products), Travelbeta (2 trips to Dubai), and Evans Industries (Unik Soap) (1 year supply of soap product).

These debts are part of the prizes that Phyna won as the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7 (Level Up), which took place from July 23rd to October 2nd, 2022.

The Guild demanded that Multichoice expedite the distribution of the rewards owed to Phyna by the businesses stated earlier. The Guild emphasized the importance of the sponsors of the Big Brother Naija franchise fulfilling their obligations to the show’s victors.

The statement emphasized that the sponsors’ failure to provide the promised rewards not only damages their reputation but also weakens the show’s credibility and generates skepticism among the audience.
