One of the recent trends is people defiling modern and faster means of international transportation. Pelumi is one of the people who have embarked on such an adventurous journey. Pelumi Nubi is the founder and president of Oremi Travels and has worked with the Daily Advice Podcast and The Black Explorer magazine.
Her mission was to travel from London to Lagos by car in her purple Peugeot 107.
According to geographical mapping, the journey will take Pelumi to 15 countries before she finally arrives in Nigeria. the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Mali, Burkina, Faso, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, and plans to end in Nigeria on March 26.
“The journey is larger than myself. I want to represent anyone who has dreams but is doubtful. You can dare to step into the unknown; it’s the only way we get to connect with ourselves and inspire others.”
Every finish line, they say, is the beginning of a new race. Pelumi Nubi, who was about to step on the finish line, encountered challenges in Sierra Leone. After passing through continents, on her arrival in Sierra Leone, West Africa, the customs officers had a grip on her. According to them, she defaulted on the on the driving regulations of her car as opposed to those of Senegal.
