Muslim Countries Shattered Crime Record in Germany
From 2015 to 2024, over 426,000 Germans have fallen victim to crimes committed by immigrants from Muslim-majority countries residing in Germany, with Syria leading the count. Notably, Nigeria and Somalia are the only sub-Saharan African nations on this list, and Nigeria is unique in that 52% of its population is Muslim. The other countries mentioned are almost entirely Muslim.
All are over 99% Islamic countries, except Nigeria, with a 52% Muslim majority.
In contrast, immigrants from Japan, China, and South Korea have the lowest involvement in crime, with almost negligible levels. Many of the countries with higher crime rates are Arab or South Asian Islamic nations, such as Pakistan and Afghanistan. A common thread among these countries is their almost 100% Muslim populations, except Nigeria. This raises the question: is there a correlation between Islam and violence, between Arab populations and violence, or is it simply a case of correlation not equating to causation? How long can this trend continue?
In Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, the UK, France, and other Western nations, Muslim immigrants often rank among those who commit the highest number of crimes. On average, Muslim immigrants commit a disproportionately higher number of crimes compared to immigrants from non-Muslim countries. This trend has fuelled an anti-immigrant movement across Europe and the West. Will the increasing crime rates among Muslim immigrants strengthen anti-immigration sentiment?
An interesting question arises: why are Muslims from South Asia and the Middle East not migrating to wealthier Islamic countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait, which are geographically and culturally closer to them? Has Europe’s tolerance reached its limit?
Regardless of the outcomes, it is evident that Muslim immigrants, on average, tend to commit more crimes than immigrants from other backgrounds. However, there is no definitive answer regarding whether Islam or any religion directly correlates with crime rates. To fully understand the causes, one must take cultural differences into account. However, in the same breath, it would be naive and politically correct to dismiss the concerning statistics regarding Muslim immigrants as mere coincidences.
