Zamfara State, Nigeria, has become the hub of kidnappings and killings. On the outskirts of Gusau, the state capital, the Zamfara State Police Command recorded the killing of one Ashiru Nagoma and the subsequent abduction of his wife and neighbour around 2:00 a.m..
Zagazola Makama, a security expert based in Maiduguri, disclosed in a tweet on X that this occurred while people were observing midnight prayers in the mosque.
Prior to this event, the deceased once resisted attack by the bandits, hence the brutal murder and abduction.
Recall that a similar attack was launched in February. However, the cause of the recent attack was Nagoma’s resistance, not a target of the worshippers observing tahajjud prayers.
In addition, Abubakar assured the residents of the town of the rescue of victims and the restoration of peace and security in the state, as well as the subsequent punishment of the perpetrators.
